Living Room Conversations: Silence & Noise—Finding Stillness in the Modern World

Living Room Conversations: Silence & Noise—Finding Stillness in the Modern World In-Person

Living Room Conversations is a nationally recognized program that brings people together for structured, respectful discussions that build understanding across differences. No debate—just open, curious conversation. Participants will share a meal and take part in a guided discussion — this month’s discussion will explore silence and noise. Our lives are a mix of sound and silence, both inside and out, and true silence is far more complex than just the absence of noise. In our noisy, distracted world, internal noise often fuels worry and overwhelm. Finding real silence can help us quiet the mind and restore focus. In a world of noise, how do we find silence and why might it be important for us to do so? Space is limited and registration is required.
