The Virginian 1902–2002 In-Person
The Virginian by Owen Wister is widely considered to be the prototypical American Western novel. This exhibit provides insight into the creation of the novel as a piece of Wyoming literary history. Sourced from materials in the Owen Wister Papers at the American Heritage Center, the exhibit was produced in 2002 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the novel’s publication.
Exhibit on loan from the American Heritage Center.
